An article in Nature, "The search for clean cash" highlighted the 150 year anniversary of MIT receiving its academic charter. When I read that MIT's founder William Barton Rogers built the curriculum around the school's motto "Mens et manus: mind and hand" it resonated with me. It is a mantra that embraces intelligence and action.
